What are the minimum requirements for each Multiroom type?

We are happy to share that any active Astro subscriber can now choose to subscribe Multiroom service at a price of RM50 monthly (subscription price excludes Govt Tax and is subject to Govt Tax if applicable).

What type of decoder can I get with Multiroom?

By default, customers subscribing multiroom are entitled to Ulti Box. Customer will be subject to a 24-months contract, or a pro-rated early termination fee of RM600 shall apply. (price excludes Government tax)

Alternatively, the installation of Multiroom can come complete with an Ultra Box, provided customer meets the eligibility criteria for Ultra Box. In this case, you will be subject to a 24-month contract, or a prorated penalty of RM1,000 shall apply.

The Multiroom (second decoder) must be installed at the same registered address as your primary subscription.

What is the eligibility criteria to get Multiroom complete with Ultra Box?

In order to qualify for installation of Multiroom complete with Ultra Box, customer is required to have:

  1. Have an internet connection at home (recommended >10Mbps)
  2. Maintain a minimum subscription with a HD+Recording service on your primary Astro subscription

If you live in a high-rise building, please call us at 03-74908000 to check if your building can support the Ultra Box. If your high-rise building allows for the set-up of individual dishes you will be able to upgrade to the Ultra Box, subject to the criteria above.

We also recommend a 4K UHD supported TV that is HDCP2.2 compliant to access the Astro UHD channels.
